Mani Monday: Valentine's Day manicure by JinSoon

Jin Soon Choi, if you didn't already know, is basically a nail genius.  She is the founder of the JINsoon Nail Lacquer line that has basically ruined me for other nail polish brands.  Her colors are gorgeous, and made with some fancy polymers that make the colors super long-wearing, yet somehow not a pain in the ass to take off.  I don't really know how she does it, but it's safe to say that it's one of my favorite nail color brands out there.  I'm still wearing the beauty colors from her fall collaboration with Tibi, and her Holiday Toppings Collection, but now I'm going to need to switch it up to try this V-day nail art idea she came up with.  It's super easy to do at home!

How to:
First, file and shape your nails in a natural square or round shape.  Apply a base coat, like JINsoon Power Coat.

Next, apply a pink shade on the entire nail bed (the one pictured here is Dolly Pink, from Jin Soon's spring/summer 2014 collection).

Apply JINsoon Coral Peony on one side of the nail, covering about 3/4's of the nail bed, and brush towards the tip of the nail in a subtle curve to create half of the heart shape.  Then repeat on the other side, and try to intersect the two sides at the center.

Next, apply JINsoon Coquette on one side of the nail, this time starting about halfway down the nail, and following the same type of curve as you did with the Coral Peony. Repeat on the other side, again making sure to intersect the two sides at the center of the nail.

Finish with a high-shine top coat, like JINsoon Top Gloss, to prolong the life of your manicure.
